For those who are having problems connecting to wifi. The problem is the wifi board inside of the TV. The wifi board is defective and needs to be replaced. Be very careful when opening the TV because there are wires connected that must be carefully removed before getting to the wifi or main board. Also take pic's of the inside of the TV so that you remember how everything was connected. Get the model of the board and order from Ebay and reinstall.
No One should have go though all of this just to get what they have already paid for. Day one starts with the issue and Tv in package again,Sony professionals coming tomorrow to authorize it for replacement. Hope atleast that tv shoould be with out issues. Saved money just to buy. It restarts itself every few minutes. I have been able to initiate a factory reset, but it shuts off before it happens. When it starts up again nothing has changed. No Help.

There is a pin on the power supply board that has several error code wires that shut off your TV for various reasons, prevent it from working and quite frankly give Sony the ability to make money off of expensive replacement parts.
It is unnecessary to replace these parts. For example, I jumped out this Red light error wire and the TV works fine now. No replacement parts!!! Simple as cutting the correct error code wire, stripping the end and putting it to ground a screw on the board works fine. The hardest part is taking off the back cover.

I replaced the main board four times before giving up. There were no new boards available from Sony or from the companies that specialize in TV parts. That implied to me that these boards have been so problematic that the new boards have all been used up. There are a few companies that sell parts from TVs that were damaged in shipment or were returned for some reason.
I bought my four replacement boards from from three different companies. I was able to successfully bid on the prices from the two companies I found on eBay. All four boards worked when I installed them.
You can find advice on replacing the main board online--follow it closely. However, all four boards eventually failed with the same problem I had initially--one or two of the four HDMI inputs stopped working.
I got refunds for all of these boards, or, in one case, I got a replacement. Ultimately, I complained to the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and to the state's consumer protection agency, as well as to Sony's customer support and quality control people. It was the state's consumer protection agency that finally led to a settlement with Sony--not great but better than nothing.
I've previously posted how to complain to these agencies. It worked for me after multiple repairs did not, so you might want to try for yourself. A few people in this community have said that "somebody" should start a class action suit. I actually looked into that with two attorney friends. While neither of them practiced this kind of law, they both said that this case seemed unlikely appeal to attorneys who do. These cases can take years to see through, take a lot of time and money to prepare, and need to have a large settlement to make it worthwhile.

Apparently Sony has synced them all together , so when one board fails they all have to be replaced. I did mine approximately a year-and-a-half ago and it's still working , keeping my fingers crossed. Like you said, Sony Customer Service just says "sorry, out of warranty".
