Thread starter obz Start date Jun 9, Greetings, I'm having issues updating apps on my iPad2. I'm in Africa working on my Masters thesis and have been unable to update my apps that require updating. I'm at a place where I'm connected to wifi and I have plenty of memory to update.

However, I do not have my computer to sync up with, having only brought my iPad for convenience sake. I've tried many fixes I've read online. This first time this issue began was when I tried updating all when getting to my first wifi connection after close to a month without one. I had 30 apps waiting to be updated. Now they are all stuck in a shaded mode with the update bar empty. When I click on them they say waiting and then a few seconds later a window pops up and says "AppName PDF Reader Pro for example cannot be downloaded at this time" and asks me to select 'retry' or 'done', When I select retry, the same thing happens.

Try connecting to a VPN and then retry downloading or updating. I was having trouble updating an app. It would appear to work, then failed with this message: I had tried many of the suggestions found here, as well as on discussions.

VPN seems to have solved my problem too. This worked for me. Was unable to download app updates on my work's wifi network. Tried a hard reboot, forgetting the wifi network, nada. Here's one I found on apple. Jadon Jadon 31 1 1 bronze badge. Repeated hard and soft reboots didn't fix the problem. Turning airplane mode on and back off seems to have fixed it.

Also of note, after doing this I got a popup saying there were new iTunes Terms and Conditions I needed to agree to I suspect this toggling somehow got my phone out of a funk so it could actually prompt me to do that.

Worked for me. But need to know why does it happen? I've been trying for about weeks to fix that problem, but still no result. Hope anyone is able to help me:. Until Mac OS X I was perfectly able to build apps in Xcode und deploy them In-House in our Enterprise.

Now I've upgraded to OS X Apps can still be built and are runnable on the iOS Simulator, but if I try now to get the app on some devices, I get a message "Unable to download application. I've searched almost the entire internet, but all I've found didn't work at all. But if I actually try to deploy the application through Xcode it works though. Does it have something to do with those Profiles and certificates?

I've already tried to revoke them and so on, but nothing helped. I also installed OS X completely new, so that I have a clean keychain. Its just strange that it happens on both iPhone and iPad. All other internet services work fine on both devices. Chances are you are in the wrong iTunes store. Scroll down to the bottom and make sure the country flag you see is the same one as where you are.

I'm in the right country uk and restarting 4 times does not solve the issue, neither on iPad nor on iPhone. I also read on another forum that deleting your apple ID on the device and then re-adding it solves the problem but I can only log out in the app store settings no delete button and delete the iCloud account, neither of which solves the issue.

Apple, could you please provide a bug fix for this?
